IRC AND PNGFA MOU ON INFORMATION SHARING

Internal Revenue Commission (IRC) and PNG Forestry Authority (PNGFA) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Information Sharing at Revenue Haus, Port Moresby.
This MoU paves the way for both agencies to share vital information concerning the affairs of logging entities in a timely and efficient manner.
The logging sector has been challenging to administer and manage and has proven to be a major revenue leakage area.
IRC Commissioner General Mr. Sam Koim has strongly emphasized the need to aggressively ensure that the conduct of players in the logging industry is properly scrutinized, monitored and regulated.
